Freestyle Phanatix is Scandinavias biggest professional breakdance crew and has been seen live by more than 500.000 in Scandinavia and Europe. The crew is two times scandinavian champions in breakdance, two times swedish champions and scandinavian-baltic champions. Phanatix is also runner up in the open british championships and took a sixth place in the world championships.

Freestyle Phanatix is a hiphop collective with the best artists from the old school, the new school and the next school. Three generations with unique knowledge in the artforms of hip hop. Our work is pervaded by the message of openess, solidarity and to be able to see beyond skin color and background. With a characteristic ability both to be impressive and puposebly reach beyond the stage, Freestyle Phanatix has an extra ordinary ability to connect, regardless of which audience is present. With whom

Phanatix has an extensive network of artists which includes the most known profiles in the danish hip hop scene. We have touring productions ready to go and creates shows in cooperation with organizers. In the past Freestyle Phanatix has worked together with media and brands such as; Voice TV & Radio, MTV, NRG, Urban, Metro-Xpress, Tjeck Mag, Puma, Adidas, Wrung, DC-shoes, DADA, EA-Games, Pepsi, Sprite, Coca Cola, Siemens, Eastpak, Tribal and more.

What

Freestyle Phanatix has a long history with many experiences which makes for an impressive amount of experience. Since 1993 the crew has continuesly expanded its field, from countless event, shows and battles to workshops and theatre productions. Freestyle Phanatix' productions spans from power performances over dance theatre to concert productions. The crew holds workshops in all areas of hip hop; dance, rap, dj, graffiti and human beatboxing. Freestyle Phanatix organizes annual b-boy events, which strengthens and gathers the nordic break dance scene and boosts young and upcoming b-boys and b-girls.

Where

Freestyle Phanatix is based in "Öresundsregionen" (Copenhagen-Malmoe) and tours about 150 days per year, that is more than 200 gigs in Denmark and Sweden; from north to south. Venues include but are not limited to; openings, TV, sporting events, trade fairs, price awards, exhibits, festivals, conferences, night clubs, hip hop-jams, music videos, theatres, librarys, cultural centers and schools. Outside scandinavia Phanatix has performed in Germany, England, Belgium, The Netherlands, Poland and China!

For whom

Phanatix audience is "Kids", but our fans comes in all ages; 3-99. The audience has seen Freestyle Phanatix shows and performances on all imaginable stages. From the beginning with "History of Breakdance" at Malmö Opera to ten years later at "Dramaten" (the swedish national scene). Freestyle Phanatix meets the audience where the audience is; the school assembly hall, the theatre, the sports arena, at the festival.

Psychiatrists tells us that childrens learning happens through imitation of the parents. And also as grown-ups most of our deeds and thoughts are imitations of others. This is also what happens when MTV and the rest of the media-bombardment are offering their version of how to talk, think and especially look. But in hiphop the b-boy is called upon to create his/hers version of what already exists. Its got to be new - its got to be FRESH.
Members of Freestyle Phanatix has served their time learning, copying and perfectioning the different techniques of b-boying. In the new millenium its about showing the world these dancers original and personal styles. Freestyle Phanatix has individually, and collectively, contributed to creating a scandinavian style, a style which is not just another unsharp black-white copy of the american icons.
